Jen Mackey, Executive Director  is a recent addition to the Fox Families Care team and is looking forward to directing the team with thoughtful leadership and generosity.  She holds an undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University and an MBA  from University of Pittsburgh.  Jen has built a dynamic career in business analytics, market research, and financial support, most recently with Blink Advertising in Sharpsburg.  

 

She and her husband have lived in the Fox Chapel Area School District for 18 years, raising their two sons, Nathan and Oliver, and investing deeply in the community. Jen is a founding board member of Backpack for Hunger and is passionate about supporting initiatives that create lasting impact for families and children.  Jen can be found in her free time on the paddle court or walking with her dog on the various trails in the community.

Founder & President Emeritus 

Paulette O'Donnell, one of the founding members of Fox Families Care, is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University and holds a Bachelor's degree in Communications, specializing in Broadcast Journalism. She enjoyed a successful career as a Sales Executive in the title underwriting industry for 23 years. Paulette's vision in starting Fox Families Care was to create an organization that would provide meaningful support to families in the community experiencing financial stress. She has also been involved with the Women's shelter of Pittsburgh, where she is a certified volunteer and a donor. In her free time, Paulette enjoys tennis, paddle, golf, traveling, and spending time with her husband, Ed, son Liam, and their three dogs.

 

President

Mary Lisa Siegel attended the University of Pittsburgh and Duquesne University, earning her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy.  She has worked in various settings including sports medicine, acute/trauma and home health care during her career.  Currently, she focuses on Clinical Business Development and Senior Team Management for a local, non-profit healthcare organization.  Mary has served on the Board for the Fox Chapel Racquet Club and volunteers her time to Fox Families Care and the athletic boosters for Fox Chapel Area High School.  Mary and her husband, Billy, are the proud parents of Will, Sienna & Frank.  Mary loves competing in all racquet sports, traveling, cooking and gardening.  She is immensely grateful for the outpouring of community support to make Fox Families Care such a successful organization.

Vice President

Jennifer Zaltman is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication. Before starting her own consulting business 13 years ago, she worked for over 30 years in marketing, advertising and event planning for large and small companies such as Hill Holiday and Fidelity Investments, Heinz USA, The Georgia Museum of Art and several other advertising agencies. Jennifer’s passion is driven by helping others, raising money and making an impact in the community. Outside of work, Jennifer has been on numerous non-profit and event boards and enjoys traveling the world with her husband and children, entertaining and playing paddle and pickle. 


Treasurer

Kathleen Wallach is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Philosophy. Kathleen also holds an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University Tepper School of Business. She has worked in fixed income investment management at Federated Hermes, handling separate accounts and ongoing credit research. While at Tepper, she focused on financial services consulting for the Banking and Capital Markets Group of a public accounting firm. Following this, Kathleen transitioned to part-time roles for two local financial services firms in Pittsburgh, utilizing her skills to analyze companies’ financial statements and improve accounting processes. Currently, Kathleen serves as the treasurer of the Fairview Elementary PTO and is also an active volunteer with the Fox Chapel Futbol Club.

In her spare time, Kathleen loves to read, ski, play tennis, travel, and most of all spend time with her husband and seven children. 

 

Secretary

Lauren Wirt works with The Dollywood Foundation to inspire a love of reading.  Lauren holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy and an M.B.A. from Chatham University.  She spent several years with the Junior League of Pittsburgh, concentrating on reducing food insecurities of children in Pittsburgh.  Lauren served as the Events Chair for Fox Chapel Young Life for 5 years and as the service coordinator for Fox Chapel Mothers of Preschoolers.  Besides getting books into the hands of young children and volunteering with Fox Families Care, Lauren enjoys paddle tennis, cooking, traveling, and spending time with her husband and three children.
