Nicole Shirk joined Fox Families Care as Executive Director in November 2023. In her previous role as the Head of People at Birgo Realty, she transformed HR processes, achieving high employee satisfaction amid significant growth. As the former Executive Vice President for Campus Ministry at the Coalition for Christian Outreach (CCO), Nicole led mission expansion and operations. A Wake Forest University graduate, Nicole currently lives in O'Hara Township with her husband, Terry, and teenage sons, Caleb and Logan. Nicole loves racquet sports and cheering on her family in their athletic endeavors. Her great desire in life is to create lasting impact and success through coaching, team building, and transformative leadership.

President  

Paulette O'Donnell, one of the founding members of Fox Families Care, is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University and holds a Bachelor's degree in Communications, specializing in Broadcast Journalism. She enjoyed a successful career as a Sales Executive in the title underwriting industry for 23 years. Paulette's vision in starting Fox Families Care was to create an organization that would provide meaningful support to families in the community experiencing financial stress. She has also been involved with the Women's shelter of Pittsburgh, where she is a certified volunteer and a donor. In her free time, Paulette enjoys tennis, paddle, golf, traveling, and spending time with her husband, Ed, son Liam, and their three dogs.

 

Vice President

Mary Siegel attended the University of Pittsburgh and Duquesne University, earning her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy.  She has worked in various settings including sports medicine, acute/trauma and home health care during her career.  Currently, she focuses on Clinical Business Development and Senior Team Management for a local, non-profit healthcare organization.  Mary has served on the Board for the Fox Chapel Racquet Club and volunteers her time to Fox Families Care and the athletic boosters for Fox Chapel Area High School.  Mary and her husband, Billy, are the proud parents of 3 very active teens: Will, Sienna & Frank.  Mary loves competing in all racquet sports, traveling, cooking and gardening.  She is immensely grateful for the outpouring of community support to make Fox Families Care such a successful organization.  


Treasurer

Holly Hoff is a graduate of Villanova University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant.  Holly spent the first part of her career in public accounting at PricewaterhouseCoopers as an audit manager and then transitioned into the private sector serving as the CFO for a mid-sized food company for about ten years. Most recently, Holly has expanded beyond these accounting roles and currently works in the pork industry where she oversees all aspects of account maintenance for the world’s leading global foodservice retailer.   Holly also serves on the Board of Directors for both ACHIEVA and ACHIEVA Family Trust and is a member of the Finance committee at The Pittsburgh Field Club.  She is an active volunteer for the Fairview Elementary PTO, Ronald McDonald House and various other local non-for-profit organizations.   In her spare time, Holly loves to travel, coach basketball, play paddle and spend time with her husband and two daughters.   

 

Secretary

Lauren Wirt works with The Dollywood Foundation to inspire a love of reading.  Lauren holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy and an M.B.A. from Chatham University.  She spent several years with the Junior League of Pittsburgh, concentrating on reducing food insecurities of children in Pittsburgh.  Lauren served as the Events Chair for Fox Chapel Young Life for 5 years and as the service coordinator for Fox Chapel Mothers of Preschoolers.  Besides getting books into the hands of young children and volunteering with Fox Families Care, Lauren enjoys paddle tennis, cooking, traveling, and spending time with her husband and three children.  

 

Communications

Sarah Stallings is a graduate of Vanderbilt University with a BS in Political Science and Secondary Education.  Sarah grew up in Oakmont and attended Shady Side Academy.  After college, she lived in Coral Gables, FL for 10 years where she met her husband, Stephen.  They moved back to Pittsburgh in 2004 and have two boys, Tyler and Henry.  After having worked in law firms for years and taking time off with the family, Sarah is currently an independent contractor, working in social media, marketing, and website design.  She has been involved in many organizations/charities including the Junior League of Pittsburgh, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Girls Hope, Lauri Ann West Community Center, Beechwood Farms, the Adult Battle of the Books, and was President of the Fox Chapel Racquet Club.  In her free time, Sarah plays paddle tennis and cheers on the Steelers.
